oh, I cheated on the skirt and bought one, but am embellishing it with cross-stitch, blackwork, and needle tatting (lace). I did make my own bodice, which needs some modifications! and I plan to knit myself knee-socks (functional, practical, and yet awfully cute) as soon as the other pair are off the needles, and eventually will knit a shawl. I don't make the clothes for myself nor my best friend/significant other - I use premade articles of clothes and alter them into whatever is necessary, and add items to make them more personal, like the lace, cross-stitching, etc.

and today I plan to kit up the pattern you so graciously made available =)

Thank you, it has taken many turns, but is finally getting to be cute. Modifying clothing can be fun - even if all you do is add a little cross-stitch or some lacy trim, you've made it yours.
